2009 Maine Directory of Spiritual Directors with Additional Listings for Pastoral Counselors, Therapists and Others Who Nurture the Spirit

With 39 listings representing a variety of faith affiliations from spiritual companions of all sorts and across the state, we are delighted to say it’s published! In January we began distributing our member directory to religious congregations, hospital pastoral care departments, parochial schools, college & university campus ministries, retreat centers, and interested individuals. We recognize there are many in our state who day in and day out work to nurture the spirit of the people around them whether they be clergy, religious educators, hospital chaplains, parochial school teachers, campus ministers, parish staff members, or volunteer lay people. We encourage those who nurture others to be nurtured themselves through spiritual direction and other such services. It is our pleasure to offer this Directory throughout the State of Maine.

Have you received your Directory? If not, contact Pamella at pam@movablefeast.org or at 207-754-7435.

Last Things: Alternatives at End of Life

These workshops, consultations, and resources are offered by Klara for those who:

  • Want to be more in control of what happens to their own body after death or would like to explore ways to care for a loved one’s body after death;
  • Wish for options other than the standard funeral practices of our day and long for simple burial;
  • Would rather have after death care centered in family and community life;
  • Are interested in the option of "natural" or "green" burial; or
  • Desire to talk about these and other last things and would like to plan for them now.
